Malta, located in Southern Europe, is officially known as the Republic of Malta. It's a small island and densely populated nation. Malta is a member of the European Union, the United Nations and the British Commonwealth of Nations. The country provides services like banking and finance services to countries worldwide. Due to its growing tourism industry, a good number of nice-quality hotels exist on the island. The economy of Malta relies on foreign trade, manufacturing (particularly textiles & electronics) and tourism. Its main trade partners are Great Britain, Italy, France, Germany and the United States. |
